Under Deck Drainage System

This client wanted an under deck drainage system installed on her deck so furnishings below would not get wet and dirty.  I installed the grid work, sloping to the outside of the deck, then installed 14′ pieces of metal siding/roofing material sloping into a gutter on the outside edge.

  1. How does the water drain past the wood beams used to hold up the metal roofing?

    • The water will drain to the lowest section of the metal roofing, the grooves, then to a gutter inside the outer legs of the deck.

  2. Interested in doing this also this summer. How far apart are the cross supports for the metal roof. What was the slope (height difference) between each cross support? Thanks
